About the Flagathon
Every Independence Day, Bengaluru gathers to carry a National Flag as long as India is old — 79 metres for 79 years of freedom.
The column moves as one body behind the flag, at a slow, dignified pace. Children, grandparents, students, colleagues — everyone keeps step. There is no race, no finish line to beat.
Open to all ages. Free to participate.

Why join
Be among the hands under a 79-metre tricolour.
Families, students, professionals, institutions: everyone walks as one column.
The hoisting, the anthem, the walk, and a finale moment you have to see live.
